You're in charge. Your life is in your hands, and so is your choice of coaches. So ask me anything you want (yeah, anything), and tell me what you want, and we'll explore if we're a good match to help you. We can meet in person if you're here in Denver, or we can meet online (Skype, Zoom, etc.).
We'll be as structured or loose as best helps you. My style is very flexible. Some people process life well by just talking, while others thrive on lists, calendars, goals, flip-charts and spreadsheets. Who are you?
I set a warm environment where you know you are believed in. Then we dive as deep as you're willing to go. Honesty mixed with a bit of humor and joy is usually the most powerful recipe for growth and change. I'll push you to really THINK about your life and what you truly want and why you want it. Sometimes I'll encourage you to just rant or ramble. At other times I'll get in your face a bit with some challenging questions or ideas. I'm a proactive personality, so I'll make sure we're going somewhere. But most of all, we'll continually TALK about how to make this coaching relationship work for you.
Great question. And an important one. Coaching looks at your life as a whole and helps you figure out how to get somewhere you want to go. Therapy by contrast digs very deep into problems you are facing, and addresses the conscious and unconscious elements that are creating those problems. I'm not a therapist, but I'm connected with some superb ones I can recommend if we identify particular issues that are critical for you to work on.
We'll keep the coaching relationship going for as long as you find it helpful. If one or two sessions gets you what you need, that's great. If you want to meet for many months that's great too. We'll talk often about how you feel about your progress. And we can meet at your pace -- weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or something else.
Feel free to ask me any other questions in an email. My email is on my contact page. I look forward to hearing from you.
